Order Policy
At The Gilded Press, we strive to provide a seamless and satisfactory experience for all of our customers.
When placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Payment: Full payment is required before orders can be shipped. We accept payment by credit card and PayPal.
Shipping: It takes 7-14 business days to process your order before it is dispatched for shipping. Customization requests may result in longer processing and shipping times.
Pickups: Pickups will be ready in 7-14 business days unless otherwise noted. Customization requests may result in longer times. Pickups will be in Milton, Ontario.
Changes or Cancellations: If you need to make any changes to your order or cancel it, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, we may not be able to make changes or cancel orders that have already been processed. Changes are not guaranteed after an order has been placed. Please ensure that you provide accurate information when placing your order.
Customization: Please inform us of all desired customizations at once via the order form or email. There is a maximum number of 3 design revisions for colour changes. Delays due to customization revisions may impact the order completion timeline.
Customer Communication: Customers are responsible for responding to emails in a timely manner. Delays caused by late responses may impact delivery timeline. If we do not hear back from you within 3 business days, your order may be shipped within our standard processing timeframe.
Returns and Exchanges: As our products are customized and made to order, we do not offer refunds once your order has been shipped. We do not accept returns or exchanges. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our policy.
If you wish to cancel your order after it has been placed, we offer refunds with a retention fee based on the stage of processing:
- If your order has been processed but not printed, a $10 USD retention fee will apply.
- If your order is in the embellishment or packing phase, a $70 USD retention fee will apply for cancellation.
Delays, Damaged, Lost Orders: The Gilded Press is not responsible for orders that are lost, delayed, or damaged during transit. Shipping delays that occur after your package is dispatched are beyond our control. If damages occur, please contact us with photos within 5 business days, and we will do our best to remedy the situation. If your order is lost, you must file a claim with the shipping provider within 10 days of receiving your shipping notification. We do not provide refunds for lost shipments but we will issue a new certificate given proof of a valid claim.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays in creating or shipping orders due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, governmental actions, or supplier delays.
Validity: The nikah certificates offered by The Gilded Press have been evaluated by recognized marriage officiants in Canada.
Our nikah certificates hold Islamic validity as Muslim marriage contracts, provided that the Mahr is included. You have the flexibility to personalize the Mahr directly on our website when selecting your design.
Whether you choose to include the Mahr or keep the certificate as a keepsake is up to you.
Please note: While our nikah certificates hold Islamic validity, they are not official government documents and are not meant to replace marriage licenses from your local government. It is your responsibility to register your marriage officially with the appropriate local government authorities.
